The memo for international students of Kemerovo State University returning to the Russian Federation


To return to the Russian Federation and continue studies, international students have to take a number of appropriate steps. We remind you that for students who are in Kemerovo, the university has organized full-time training in a timely manner; for students who are unable to arrive in Kemerovo or observe self-isolation, training is conducted using distance learning technologies.

The memo for international students of Kemerovo State University returning to the Russian Federation.

STEP 1.
Contact KemSU’s International Office at least 10 days prior to ticket purchase and inform when and through which checkpoint you are going to cross the Russian border. Wait for the confirmation from the International Office of KemSU for 24 hours.

You can cross the border by direct flight if you are a citizen of one of the following countries: Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Greece, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Maldives, the United Arab Emirates, Seychelles, Serbia, Singapore, Tanzania, Turkey, Finland, Switzerland, Ethiopia, South Korea, South Ossetia, Japan.

Starting from April 1, 2021, Venezuela, Germany, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Sri Lanka flights resume.

STEP 2.
Take a COVID-19 PCR test no sooner than 72 hours prior to your arrival in Russia and receive a negative test results certificate in Russian or English.

STEP 3.
Take a second COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours after arriving in Russia.

According to the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, you can take a COVID-19 PCR test in the following health organizations:

STEP 4.
Before receiving negative test results a second time, stay in self-isolation. There is a separate block of rooms serving students from abroad for self-isolation in the dormitory.

STEP 5.
After receiving your second negative test results, move to your dormitory room on campus and start attending in-person classes.
