Educational programmes presented at an exhibition of Siberian universities in Kazakhstan

A presentation of universities situated in Tomsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk regions and the Republic Khakassia was held at the initiative of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Kazakhstan and the Novosibirsk interuniversity center for international education “NICE”. This effort was supported by the Rossotrudnichestvo representative offices in Armenia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The event was held in a remote format with the guests presented by career guidance organizations, applicants and their parents. Natalia Yakimova, the head of the International Communications Office of KemSU, spoke of Kuzbass and Kemerovo State University, its infrastructure and campus life, educational programs and entry requirements. Foreign students can study at Kemerovo State University either at the expense of Russian Federation budget (in accordance with international treaties in the status of compatriots or on a quota) or under a study agreement.

Places within quotas for foreign students are allocated on top of the main state-financed openings. They are intended for near and far abroad students and for compatriots living abroad (in case they pass the selection in their country). KemSU has allocated one-hundred quotas for foreign students for 2021-2022. To participate in the competition for obtaining a quota, a foreign citizen should sign up at the following URL, choose the program of interest and contact the Russian embassy or the Rossotrudnichestvo center. The admission to Kemerovo State University will start from June 20, 2021 for the main state-financed openings in accordance with international agreements and under training agreements.
