Kemerovo State University has entered the rankings of the top universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia

The recently published QS EECA-2021 ranking of the top universities encompasses emerging economies of Europe and Central Asia. For the seventh time, the list is led by Lomonosov Moscow State University. Russian universities took 121 positions in the list out of 400. Kemerovo State University is among the best universities (positions 351-400). To enter the rankings, universities had to go through a selection process which took into consideration the following criteria: academic prestige index, student-to-staff ratio, proportion of staff with PhD, citation and publications activities in Scopus, openness index and research cooperation, international students ratio, as well as popularity of Internet resources. As a reminder, it is projected to implement the national project “Education” by 2030. Its total budget will amount to 784.5 billion rubles. Some of the principal objectives of the national project are to assure global competitiveness of Russian education and its entry into the top 10 educational leaders of the world in terms of the quality of general education.
