Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Novosibirsk Shamsiddin Zardi held a meeting with foreign students of KemSU

The Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Novosibirsk Shamsiddin Zardi paid an official visit to Kuzbass. The diplomat met with Tajik students and KemSU’s rector Professor A.lexander Prosekov.

Students from Tajikistan amount for approximately one third of KemSU's foreign students. In the academic year 2019/2020, 86 students from Tajikistan were enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree programs, 10 – in Specialist’s Degree programs, 22 – in Master's Degree programs, 1 graduate was enrolled to take a PhD Program, and 2 students were enrolled in VET programs. The most popular majors among applicants from Tajikistan are the programs of Institute of Food Science and Technology and the Institute of Engineering Technologies.

According to the Consul General, in the near future it is planned to build five new Russian language schools w in Tajikistan, which will allow future applicants to minimize language barriers when moving to study in Russia. Shamsiddin Zardi urged students from Tajikistan studying at KemSU to comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation, and to respect the traditions and culture of Russia and Kuzbass. KemSU students majoring in International Relations were invited to take an internship at the Consulate of the Republic of Tajikistan in Novosibirsk.
