KemSU’s library is has branches in three buildings of the University, with a total of 4 reading rooms for 250 seats. The Library’s funds comprise 1.5 million printed documents, including scientific, educational, reference, popular science and art literature, periodicals and publications. Of particular value are the rare books of the 16th – 20th centuries, periodicals of the 19th century, old printed books, lifetime editions of classics, as well as collections of books by prominent Russia’s and KemSU’s researchers. The Library uses the comprehensive library automation system “IRBIS64”, facilitating access to the electronic catalogue. KemSU’s library also provides access to electronic educational resources and electronic databases.
